About

Sister Teresa Muhammad is a traditional birthworker (doula) who is committed to connecting black and indigenous women back to the roots of our customs, cultures, and traditions. As a dedicated wife, mother of 3, and newly titled grandmother, Sis. Teresa is passionate about the art of housekeeping, the science of food as it pertains to overall health, and the divinity and beauty of birth.

Sis. Teresa began her journey during her teenage years being called to support family, friends, and acquaintances during the most life-changing moments. When the opportunity was presented for Teresa to do what she wanted to do, she decided to do what she has always been called to do; support women. Whether it be during family planning, pregnancy, birth, pregnancy and infancy loss, death or to provide a healing soup, tea, or tonic, you can count on Sis. Teresa to serve you wholeheartedly.

Master gardener, yogi, birthworker, herbal student, cook, and advocate are some of the many titles Sis. Teresa holds, but the one that carries the most weight for her is, Sister. Holding space and honoring women in their most intimate and sacred moments of life is not only her passion, it is her honor.
